Educator, confidant, champion. Andrea Kazantzis, owner and broker at Kazantzis Real Estate, strives to be all of those and more for the people who entrust her with the sale or purchase of a property.

Kazantzis, an award-winning Realtor with 14 years of experience, recently discussed her philosophy about real estate and how she sees her role.

What sets you apart from other Realtors?

I’m open-minded. I appreciate diversity. I’m honest, sometimes to the point of my own detriment. I’m very direct. I’m competent. I believe in doing the right things the right way. I value change. I provide clients with a foundation for them to become knowledgeable in areas in which they are unclear or uncertain. I do all I can to ensure my clients understand the aspects of their real estate sale, whether buying or selling.

What do you love most about being a Realtor?

Selling or buying a house is a huge life event. It’s one of the biggest transactions many people will ever undertake. As a real estate agent, I'm the person by their side throughout the whole process. I'm here to provide people with reassurance and peace of mind, using a level head and extensive experience in the market. Helping people on a daily basis and seeing the tangible results of your actions at the end of each day is proven to lead to high levels of job satisfaction. I can say that is truly the case.

What words of wisdom do you share most with prospective home buyers or sellers?

I often find myself sharing this quote from President Franklin D. Roosevelt:

“Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.”

I also tell my clients "You are the driver, I am the passenger who's there to guide, educate, and provide the best service possible."

What does the word "home" mean to you?

Home means an enjoyable, happy place where you can live, laugh and learn. It’s a place where you are loved, respected, and cared for. When you look at it from the outside, home is just a house. A building. Maybe a yard. But on the inside, it’s a lot more than wood and bricks. The saying “home is where the heart is” says it all.

What else should people know about you?

I grew up in Connecticut and I'm now raising my own family here. As both a business owner and a resident, I know how important it is to invest in the community. That is why Kazantzis Real Estate has a tradition of giving back. We've sponsored toy and food drives for those in need, donated K9 vests to local police departments, and have donated to many other charities.
