Buying a home can be confusing for anyone. But if English isn't your primary language, important information can easily be lost in translation leading to financial disaster for the client down the road.

That's where Kazantzis Real Estate Agent Claritza Fong comes in. She speaks both English and Spanish. She recently spoke with us about how she is able to guide her clients who speak both languages through the process.

How does your past experience translate into the Real Estate market?

I have worked in customer service for many years. I have a natural way of working with people and understanding their needs and wants.

What sets you apart from other Realtors?

I treat every client the same. I go above and beyond for my clients. I gain their confidence with my work and the care I show when we go to do showings. I point everything out to them and make sure they understand what I'm explaining to them.

Because I am bilingual I am able to easily communicate with Spanish speakers, ensuring that a language barrier won't keep them from their dream home. That means I can easily communicate with them about different homes and their features during the house hunting phase. And, because I am there through the financing and closing process, I help guide them through that convoluted process and make sure they truly understand the key terms of their mortgage.

What do you love most about being a Realtor?

I enjoy it most when I bring families to showings. I enjoy their reactions, their facial expressions, and the joy they show when they like something. That gives me the opportunity to know what they're looking for and making small talk until they open up to me and trust my knowledge and ask for my personal opinion.

What words of wisdom do you share most with prospective home buyers or sellers?

I tell my clients to be open-minded and picture themselves living in every home they walk into. I can't stress enough that when you walk into a home and it feels like home you will know deep down that is the house you want.

What does the word "home" mean to you?

Home to me means my happy place. Home is where you spend family time together, build memories, and grow together. Home to me means everything.
